{"id":288,"date":"2012-10-02T16:00:46","date_gmt":"2012-10-02T14:00:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/web.xbrleurope.org\/?p=288"},"modified":"2026-04-02T12:03:41","modified_gmt":"2026-04-02T10:03:41","slug":"membership","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.xbrleurope.org\/?page_id=288","title":{"rendered":"Membership"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>XBRL Europe Membership is comprised of entitities which have to apply to be accepted by the organisation as members.<\/p>\n<p>XBRL Europe distinguishes 4 categories of members:<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Cat 1: XBRL national jurisdictions of XBRL International:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Cat 1.1 European Established Jurisdictions of XBRL International, <\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Cat 1.2 European Provisional Jurisdictions of XBRL International, <\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Cat 1.3 Any other jurisdiction of XBRL International<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>\u00a0<\/em><strong><em>Cat 2: European institutions and not for profit associations, national public authorities:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Cat 2.1 European Institutions existing under the European Union Treaties and European Federations or equivalent <\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Cat 2.2 Not for profit associations fulfilling pan-European or national activities on behalf of their members<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Cat 2.3 National public authorities<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Cat 2.3.1 in a country with an XBRL jurisdiction, member of an existing XBRL jurisdiction<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Cat 2.3.2 in a country with an XBRL jurisdiction, not member of the jurisdiction<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Cat 2.3.3 In a country without an XBRL jurisdiction<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Cat 2.3.4 In a country outside of Europe<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>\u00a0<\/em><strong><em>Cat 3: Profit Entities registered:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Cat 3.1 in a country with an XBRL jurisdiction, member of the jurisdiction, <\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Cat 3.2 in a country with an XBRL jurisdiction, not member of the jurisdiction<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Cat 3.3 in a country without a XBRL jurisdiction <\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Cat 3.4 in a country outside Europe<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>\u00a0<\/em><em><strong>Cat 4: Individuals<\/strong> \u2013 persons with knowledge and expertise who are assessed to contribute to the objective of XBRL Europe<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The detailed benefits per category of member is detailed in the a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.xbrleurope.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/XBRLEuropeMembershipBenefits_2025_v2.pdf\">XBRL Europe Membership Benefits document<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>If your organisation wishes to become a member of XBRL Europe please visit the <a href=\"http:\/\/web.xbrleurope.org\/?page_id=161\">Membership<\/a> section.<br \/>The membership entitles the members to many benefits which are described in the <a href=\"http:\/\/web.xbrleurope.org\/?page_id=141\">Governance<\/a> section.<\/p>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>XBRL Europe Membership is comprised of entitities which have to apply to be accepted by the organisation as members.
