{"id":7476,"date":"2025-01-10T10:32:02","date_gmt":"2025-01-10T09:32:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.xbrleurope.org\/?p=7476"},"modified":"2025-01-10T11:01:13","modified_gmt":"2025-01-10T10:01:13","slug":"esma-publishes-2024-esef-xbrl-taxonomy-conformance-suite-and-consults-on-the-rts-documents-on-esef-for-sustainability-reporting-and-eeap","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.xbrleurope.org\/?p=7476","title":{"rendered":"ESMA publishes 2024 ESEF XBRL taxonomy &amp; conformance suite and consults on the RTS documents on ESEF for sustainability reporting and EEAP"},"content":{"rendered":"\n\n\n<p><strong>ESEF taxonomy and Conformance suite 2024<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA), the EU\u2019s financial markets regulator, has released the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.esma.europa.eu\/press-news\/esma-news\/esma-publishes-2024-esef-xbrl-files-and-esef-conformance-suite\">2024 European Single Electronic Format (ESEF)<\/a> <\/strong>XBRL taxonomy files and updated the ESEF Conformance Suite.<\/p>\n<p>The 2024 update to the ESEF regulation will take effect on the twentieth day following its publication in the European Official Journal, which is expected by mid-January 2025.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Consultation on the RTS documents on ESEF for sustainability reporting and EEAP:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>ESMA has opened a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.esma.europa.eu\/press-news\/consultations\/consultation-esef-rts-sustainability-reporting-and-amendments-eeap-rts\">consultation<\/a> on proposed amendments to the ESEF Regulatory Technical Standards (RTS) for integrating sustainability reporting requirements, alongside updates to the European Electronic Access Point (EEAP) RTS.<\/p>\n<p>ESMA invites all relevant stakeholders to provide feedback on its Consultation Paper regarding the European Single Electronic Format (ESEF). The consultation targets a wide range of participants, including issuers, auditors, investors, and financial information users.<\/p>\n<p>The consultation aims to gather insights to refine the ESEF framework and address the needs of entities affected by its implementation.
