On October 4, XBRL Sweden hosted a conference in Stockholm targeting ESMA ESEF as well Swedish and Nordic SBR initiatives. 

The morning session targeted ESMA/ESEF where Anna Sciortino representing ESMA presented on the initiative. Following ESMA, Karl Hansell, Swedish FSA, provided an update. These presentations were followed by a presentation by Karin Martikainen from UPM, targeting UPM experiences from the ESMA “Field tests”. The morning session was then finalized with experiences from SEC IFRS reporting by Ericsson, Linnea Olsson, where Ulla Söderholm from PWC also shared her view from an auditor perspective.

In the afternoon a range of presenters representing Tax authorities, Statistics Sweden, Business registrar, software industry, credit rating industry, accountant and audit industries – all XBRL Sweden members, presented on items related to Swedish and Nordic SBR. One presentation by Annika Stenberg, Director General Swedish Companies Registration office, specifically targeted the “Nordic Smart Government” initiative (more info).
